Our Timber Garages give a secure, solid structure, built to our exceptionally high standards and to your exact requirements.
One of our garages will compliment your surroundings, adding value to your property whilst being installed with the bare minimum of building works.
We can add partitions and personal doors to keep your work space accessible and separate from your garaging needs.
Simply measure the space you have available, then choose the door, any windows and roof design and we will do the rest.
To complement the robust construction we have devised a unique Security Pack option, this is advisable if anything of value is to be stored in your garage. Your building comes fully treated with timber preservative however for a painted, stained and higher standard of finish as well as a vastly increased redecoration cycle please see our optional paint systems.
Delivery and Installation
Our experienced and professional fitters deliver and install all our buildings free of charge.
As our business is very much dependant on our reputation in providing an excellent product and service our customer care is exceedingly important to us and you will find that we very much pride ourselves on this. From design stage through to installation providing the best possible service is our number one priority.

Access to where you wish your building to be installed is never a problem to us as each building is designed and built to order which means that we can make the building in such a way that it can fit through restricted access areas and be installed exactly where the building is required.
Building Styles & Options
We offer a comprehensive range of standard sized garages, available in either a pent or apex roofed design. You can then choose the eave height that you require and where you would like the doors and windows to suit you. One of the great services that we provide is that as we make each building to order we can produce none standard sizes and designs whenever and wherever required.
If you would like a double doored garage then you will need to allow a minimum of a 5.4m frontage to accommodate the 2 doors.

Cladding Options
Our timber cladding is machined from very high quality Redwood grown in North Sweden, close to the arctic circle. These slowly grown trees produce a much more dense and stable timber than others. Our buildings are clad in shiplap as standard but we also offer weatherboard cladding for a more rustic finish

shiplap cladding profile to enhance the look of your building, give better adhesion properties for paints and we have introduced a capillary groove to reduce the risk of water ingress.
Weatherboard - (21>8 x 125mm)
Our weatherboard cladding is machined from the same high quality timber as the shiplap but gives a more rustic look to your building.
Door Options
Our bespoke service means you can choose whether you want a double door or an up and over door. An extra door set or windows within your door for your building needs are all options for you to consider.

A double wooden door set are framed, ledged, braced, mortised and tenoned and all made in-house by our joiners. The final size is 2134mm wide x 1908mm high. However a different sized door requirement is easily accommodated.
Up and Over doors
An up and over door can add security or ease of use to your garage. As standard we can pick from brown or white size 2134mm x 1981mm. We can also accommodate a specified garage door and we can fit an electric operator
Additional side door
An additional side door for your convenience can be added to your building.
Single door aperture 850mm wide x 1800mm high.
Double door aperture 1700mm wide x 1800mm high.
Security Pack
Our Garages are exceptionally robust and we are very proud of our unique Security Pack that will compliment the structure and be of benefit if any items of value are to be stored in your building.
Show / HideSince the introduction of our Security Pack in 1994 theft from our customers sheds has been dramatically reduced. In this time we have updated the window bars to stainless steel and worked closely with a lock manufacture to produce our unique 7 leaver security lock. The Security Pack consists of a security bolt, non return security screws on the hinges and stainless steel bars at all windows.
When adding a personal door or wherever necessary to do so we will use 2 Security Packs. We will use the same key for your security lock for your convenience (as opposed to having a unique key for every lock).
Window bars
13mm (1/2) Stainless steel bar is mortised into the window frame during manufacture.

Non return security screws on hinges make it impossible to unscrew hinges

Partitions
Make your building multi-functional by sectioning and separating the space. Create a workshop, or office space by partitioning off.

Windows
The joiners in our workshop manufacture the windows to our own very high standards. They are glazed with 4mm toughened glass as a standard safety feature. Choose where to put your windows in your building or choose to have none and whether to make any opening windows. We can offer Georgian effect or Velux as alternative styles.

You may wish to add additional windows to your building for added light. Each window is 600 x 600mm (2' x 2'). If you wish for a different size or style of window this is possible as all buildings are made to order, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Opening windows
Substitute any fixed window for an opening sash. Our opening sashes are top hung and are fitted with a brass casement stay.
Georgian windows
Make your windows Georgian for a more traditional look.
Double glazed windows
Have your windows double glazed for added insulation and reduced condensation.
Velux
Add one or more Velux windows to your building to gain extra natural light. The roof window can be fitted in any part of the roof. It is only possible to have roof windows in apex style buildings with either Cedar Shingles or Slate Effect roof covering.
Roof Overhang
A roof overhang can provide additional protection to the façade of your building as well as creating shade and rain coverage. The overhang can give a more cabin style design finish.

Workbench
Add your chosen size workbench to your building for your DIY or hobby needs. Solid or slatted.

Electric Packs
For lighting and using any equipment in your building, you may wish to consider our electric pack. Professionally fitted by qualified electricians who take all the wiring to a consumer unit ready for you to connect to your electricity supply. Internal wiring will be fitted behind any internal lining. We can also supply your building with a heater.

Lining and Insulation
To create year-round workspace, increase comfort and decrease noise levels as well as providing a greater level of protection to more "delicate items we can offer lining and insulation for your garage.
Show / HideYour building will be manufactured with a breathable paper membrane trapped between the studwork which acts as a moisture trap. We fill the cavity with insulation and the cladding is 12mm (0.5 ") oak faced plywood. We use this cladding for its robust and hardwearing finish so that it is suitable to hang shelves and hooks etc where required and as the cladding is oak faced it is also a very attractive finish.
Base
Garages require a level solid base built to our dimensions. Please contact us and we will provide you with a plan to build the base.

There are 2 options for the base for your garage:
Concrete Base
A solid concrete base (which will include steel reinforcement within the mix) no less than 100mm deep is ideal.
Brick Plinth
If you already have an unlevel concrete base or if the base is the wrong size then a brick plinth can be built to correct it.
Roof Coverings
Our standard roofing cover is an extreme wear heavy duty 35kg green mineralised felt. We also offer red and grey slate effect roofing tiles, very stylish cedar shingles or the environmentally sound and attractive green roof option.

We use only the finest quality Canadian Blue Label Cedar Shingles expertly tiled by our own skilled craftsmen to give a traditional finish which will 'silver' with age. They are expected to last 25-35 years.
Slate Effect
These individually laid synthetic slates finally bring nature and technology together providing the ultimate protection against UV rays, wind, hail and fire. This roofing product carries a 50 year limited warranty. Opt for a more traditional grey or terracotta for a different look which looks great with the lighter paint shades.
Green Roof
this layered, lightweight, vegetative roof improves the buildings thermal performance (cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter). A good natural sound insulator, significantly improves rainwater run-off and has added values in terms of promoting biodiversity and habitat as well as blending in with surroundings, particularly in built up areas. No need for weeding or deadheading.
Optional Paint Systems
Your garage comes treated internally and externally with an attractive light oak preservative, protecting against fungi and woodworm. We also offer 2 paint systems for your garage which we are very proud of and with their use you will vastly increase the redecoration cycle of your building as well as adding a beautiful colour to your environment.
Sikkens
Crane Sheds and Summerhouses have worked closely with SIKKENS to create a coating system which provides long lasting protection for your building yet still allowing the grain to be seen enhancing the natural beauty of the timber. SIKKENS was shown to be the best translucent wood stain in trials carried out by TRADA (The Timber Research and Development Association). *These paint systems are optional.

Valtti
This fully opaque Scandinavian coating system will enhance any building giving an extremely durable low maintenance solid colour finish. This four coat system has been proved to give the best possible protection for exterior timber. If our standard colours shown do not complement your surroundings it is possible to match any colour at an extra charge. *These paint systems are optional.
